Clan of Growth ("we", "us", or "our") operates Subscriptor, an Android application for tracking subscriptions, renewals, free trials, and related spending information.
1. Information stored by Subscriptor
Subscriptor allows users to enter and store:
- subscription/service name
- subscription amount
- currency
- billing cycle
- category
- billing and renewal dates
- auto-renewal status
- active/archived status
- free-trial status
- first paid amount
- color/accent selection
- notes
- notification preferences
The app also stores local application settings including appearance and onboarding-related state.
2. Local storage
Subscription data is stored locally on the user's Android device in the app's SQLite database.
Certain application settings are stored using local preferences.
No account is required to use Subscriptor.
3. Data transmission and online services
Subscriptor does not currently use a server, account system, cloud synchronization service, or API to transmit subscription data.
The current version does not include analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking services.
The app does not currently integrate with banks or financial institutions.
4. Backup, import, restore, and sharing
Subscriptor can create a JSON backup locally.
The backup can be saved to the device's Downloads location.
The user can explicitly share a backup file using Android sharing functionality. If the user shares the file, it may be transmitted to the app, service, or person selected by the user. Clan of Growth does not control how a recipient handles the backup after sharing.
Importing a backup uses the Android file picker and processes the selected file locally.
Restoring a backup replaces applicable local subscription and notification data with the selected backup contents.
5. Notifications
Subscriptor can provide local renewal reminders.
Notification permission may be requested when the user chooses to enable reminders.
Scheduled reminders are generated locally.
6. Permissions
The current version may request:
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — local renewal reminders
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — re-establish scheduled local reminders after device restart
The current version does not declare permissions for camera, contacts, location, microphone, or similar device data.
7. Third-party services
The current version does not use third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, authentication, or cloud-storage services to process subscription data.
The app uses software libraries for local database storage, notifications, state management, charts, formatting, file handling, and local preferences.
8. Data deletion
Users can delete subscription records inside the application.
Clan of Growth does not maintain a separate server-side copy of locally stored subscription data.
Exported backup files are separate files on the user's device or wherever the user chooses to share them. Their deletion is controlled by the user and any recipient.
9. Children's privacy
Subscriptor is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app's features or data practices change.
